How do you feel when you stay in a Hotel but it feels like a Resort? Well, not happened yet? Well, that’s because you haven’t stayed at the Westin Mumbai Powai Lake! That is exactly the kind of vibe this property gives! I came here basis my Marriott Bonvoy Redemption Night and loved it. The Lobby looks GRAND as soon as you enter the property! The Check-in was smooth – They do value your loyalty status! The Property has 3 Restaurants + 1 Bakery Lounge. The three restos comprise of a Lake View Cafe, a Japanese named Mayouchi and a rooftop bar at 36th called NOX serving Mediterranean cuisine with exhilarating cocktails. The Hotel also has one of the longest pool in Mumbai!
Let’s Dive into it:
Rooms:
I stayed at the Luxury Guest Room with Lake View. In fact, they upgraded it to the Lake View - I had booked the Hill View! So, that’s the first instance of “They value your Loyalty Status!” The Room is Big. Lots of space. The Washroom is Big, with a Bathtub! I actually liked the theme and tone of the room and it felt nice and refreshing.
The room gives you a fantastic view of the Powai Lake and the Hotel’s Swimming Pool – Though it was raining and misty during our stay so the view wasn’t that clear! A clearer day would make it feel like - much much better!
Location:
Don’t expect too much if you’re staying in here. The location of the property itself is way interiors even after entering the premises of the property. If you wanna hop out, every Powai cafe/bar/lounge/resto is 15-20 min drive away depending on the time of the day you go. Location is 8/10 for me.
Housekeeping/Service:
I cannot speak too much about the Service in general because I did not try much of it to be honest, but the hospitality is great. Loved the way they greet you and take every bit of detail into account.
Food:
Well, well. There’s nothing more I look forward to in any property than the FOOD. I did not try ALL the restaurants so to say but I tried the Japanese one called Mayouchi.
It couldn’t have been a better decision. I tried the Mushroom Cheese Gyoza and a Stir-fried Udon Noodles. Wow, we're both absolutely delicious or what! The Udon Noodles were among some of the best I have ever had anywhere! You could feel every single bite in your mouth. The flavours, the balance, it was just too good! For Noodles lovers, this is not-to-be-missed.
Also, The restaurant is beautifully designed with some great hospitality. You could see the Bartenders at work on one side and the Chefs on the other!
